the Lonna Jones story . . . Four years ago, a young girl calls HRW Music. She states she found the website and read that the record label got its start from a ‘Break the Teen Pregnancy Cycle’ summer camp for 60 inner-city little league football cheerleaders.
She says, “I’m 12 years old and I’m a cheerleader. My older sister and I started the Cincinnati Rap Duo.” She then asks who she is speaking with and proclaims in a highly confident, self-assured voice, “I need to speak with the person within your organization 
that has the authority to make a decision on working with a new artist.”
“Wow, you’re a bold one. I suppose you can can speak with me since I own the company,” the CEO responds. But since you’re only 12, please have your parents call me after we
finish talking.”
Lonna hits the studio recording her first single with producer Bryan Tyson for HRW Music Group.
